A workshop on the same was attended by Dr. Indrani Chakravarty in Edinburgh where dedicated teams of researchers representing each of the three countries were engrossed in first and second phases of the research.

It is an extensive qualitative research and deals with unravelling the plethora of human perception while appreciating and emphasizing subjective perception and restructuring the social and environmental canvas of elderly citizens in target communities which the team decided as a foundation for future interventions on a macro scale. This study has been designed by structuring the research phasewise, the final being implementing elderly-friendly communities.

Monumental as it is, this endeavour will open up new vistas and hitherto untrodden territories which will make the sunset hours of life of an elderly graceful and serene, thereby enhancing the quality of life of senior citizens who are the building blocks of past and future in the terrain of community life.
